Start with your eligibility.
Applicants must hold a valid Hong Kong identity card and own a residential flat. They and their spouse, if married, must live in that property. Applicants must not be undischarged bankrupts and must fall within one of these groups.
Old Age Living Allowance recipients
Provide current proof of receipt for eligibility verification.
Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients
CSSA recipients must also meet one of the household conditions below.
Disability Allowance recipients
Must meet the income and asset limits for their household size.
Household conditions for CSSA recipients
At least one condition must apply: a household member is aged 65 or above; a member is certified disabled or in ill health by a public hospital or clinic doctor; or there is no able-bodied adult under 50 in the household.
How are income and assets assessed?
Applicants in the age-60-plus and Disability Allowance categories are subject to the applicable limits. OALA and CSSA recipients provide benefit evidence as required by the notes. The value of the owner-occupied property concerned is excluded from the asset calculation.

02 / REPAIR & RESTORE
Support that addresses the repairs your home needs.
The grant can support eligible repairs within the home or building common areas. We help assess and arrange the following types of work; the URA confirms eligibility.

Refurbishment and safety repairs
Repair defective concrete, rendering and related damage, with electrical, drainage and sanitary improvements where needed.
02 ↗Waterproofing and seepage repairs
Repair roof and flat-roof waterproof membranes and address associated water seepage.
03 ↗Order compliance and fire safety
Arrange removal of unauthorised works and fire or building safety improvements, according to the case.
04 ↗Building and window safety
Building inspection, repairs and defective windows; structural engineers are arranged for mandatory building inspection cases.
Decorative improvements alone are not necessarily eligible. Subject to the rules, grants may also repay outstanding building maintenance loans from the BD, HKHS or URA.

An on-site assessment carries a HK$500 administration fee. We prepare the scope, quotation and required professional documents. The fee is fully refunded upon formal appointment.

Prepare the application and await approval
We help prepare and submit the application and coordinate URA inspection and assessment. Works are arranged only after approval in principle and confirmation of the scope.

Complete works and follow up the grant
We complete the approved works, prepare completion records and coordinate URA inspection. The URA determines the grant amount and disbursement.

Assessment and document support
We help arrange quotations, plans, structural reports and application documents as needed. Appropriately qualified professionals and contractors handle works requiring statutory submissions.
Insurance and warranty
HK$20 million liability insurance is provided, with a five-year warranty for aluminium window component replacement, subject to applicable terms. The five-year warranty is not a blanket warranty for all renovation or waterproofing works.

Questions you may have.
Does the grant cover every renovation item?
The grant supports eligible repairs addressing building safety and disrepair. Purely decorative upgrades are not automatically eligible. The URA assesses the scope and cost.
Is HK$80,000 guaranteed?
No. HK$80,000 is a ceiling. Eligibility, approved repair costs, ownership shares and previous grants affect the amount. The applicant and spouse jointly, and each property, are subject to the scheme limit.
Can works start before the application is approved?
Apply before starting private-unit works and allow the URA to inspect and approve the quotation. Easy Job Solution Engineering Limited arranges works after approval in principle and scope confirmation to avoid affecting grant eligibility.
Can previous elderly maintenance grant recipients apply?
Current eligibility still applies. Previous relevant grants count towards the combined HK$80,000 ceiling. Subject to government funding, up to four applications may be made within ten years of submitting the first successful application.
When is the HK$500 administration fee refunded?
The HK$500 fee covers the on-site assessment and is fully refunded upon formal appointment of our company. It is our service fee, not a government application fee charged by the URA. Repair works are priced separately in the agreed quotation.
